The exercise:

1. On a clean sheet of paper draw a top box and four to eight lower boxes. Then draw the connecting lines so that you drawing looks similar to my example.

2. I would now like you to imagine that you have just written a Business Letter and made it ready to place in the letter box.

3. Now use your visual imagination. Can you ‘Image’ and name some of the valid ‘objects’ (parts) that make up your complete Business Letter?

4. Please write the names or descriptions of these ‘valid’ items into the lower boxes of your breakdown chart. Completeness is not vital at this stage, just identify a few items to test your understanding of the logic.
